A weekend away with the sisters

Oh my goodness, it is eight days since I posted. I have been feeling rather neglectful of you (even though there aren't that many of you), but I've also been feeling a little bereft of inspiration the last little while.

I'm about to let you in on a little secret, however. I am soon to head off with the sisters (three of them), Mummy-darling-dear and a favourite auntie for a weekend of girlie fun. Yep, this weekend I skip netball (sigh) and my club's biggest shindig - the Mid Year Ball (double sigh) - for a weekend of champagne, massage trades, spa action, extra-invigorating dance moves, shopping, cafe life, walks in the bush, personal revelations, hilarity, naughtiness and (hopefully) a double bed all to myself. I say hopefully, because you never know when the fartiest sister might jump in bed with you, and that I would never say was "getting lucky".

So I am expecting, after this weekend, to have stocked up on some good girlfriend stories to tell you. We have, in the lead-up to this whole shindig, been emailing each other about the type of entertainment we might provide. Here is a sample: Emjoi the hairiest ones legs; tweezer nose hairs; apply 1970s style makeup; burp contest; nude streaker competition; couch wrestling. Needless to say my auntie, though a teen of the '60s and definitely used to her share of partying, is nervous. This is her first trip away with her sister's girls and she's feeling a little bit worried. And Dad and the husbands are all a little bit miffed too. One is particularly tired of all these "hilarious" emails getting around. "I just hope that the trip isn't overshadowed by the build up" were his words, or something to that effect.

I kind of hope he's right, because we are really anticipating great joviality on our once a year get-together. But there are more than a few things on the "to do" list that I won't be sorry to miss out on too!

I would like to remind you Cherry that what happens on the weekend doesn't have names attatched to activitees otherwise no-one will be safe.  All in together I say.  I bags we all get tarred with the same feather.  Anyway, who would want to be left out of the finger pointing.  Love you.
